Bryan Cranston is knocking on your door, Kansas City.
The star of “Breaking Bad” and “Malcolm in the Middle” will appear Oct. 21 at the Uptown Theater, in an event sponsored by Rainy Day Books and Ink magazine’s Middle of the Map.
Cranston will discuss his life and work, as well as his new memoir “A Life in Parts,” which will be released in October.

Tickets, $35 plus fees, go on sale Aug. 25 through Ticketmaster outlets, the Uptown Theater box office or through 800-745-3000. Each ticket includes a hardcover copy of the book, some of which will be pre-signed and randomly distributed.
