Health officials have confirmed one case of norovirus among the people who became ill last week after visiting the Buffalo Wild Wings grill and bar at 7030 W. 105th St. in Overland Park.
The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment began receiving reports on Jan. 29 from people who became ill with vomiting and diarrhea beginning on Jan. 28. About 10 to 15 cases, including students from the Shawnee Mission School District, are under investigation.
The health department is awaiting laboratory test results for several other cases, said Nancy Tausz, director of the department’s disease prevention division.
Tausz said the source of the virus has not been determined.
