This weekend, guaranteed, the box office will belong to Disney’s “Cinderella” and one local movie chain plans to use the anticipated-blockbuster to raise money for charity.
On Saturday, seven local B&B Theatres will host special “Cinderella” events to raise money for Variety Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City. The nonprofit provides adaptive equipment to children with developmental disabilities.
The theaters have pledged 10 percent of all box office proceeds from “Cinderella” ticket sales to Variety.
They’ll also have on hand their own “fairy godmother” for photo opportunities and a pair of glass slippers for kids to try on. Little ones are encouraged to wear their best prince and princess outfits to the movie. Concessions discounts will come with each “Cinderella” ticket.
