One thing you won’t get from Jason Jaumouille is relationship baggage.
“I’ve never really been with anyone — never dated anyone,” he says.
What you will get is a man who’s devoted to family and education, a conversationalist, scholar and a world traveler who’s looking to settle down.
The 33-year-old Colorado transplant is looking for his first girlfriend in hopes that that relationship will turn into marriage.

And ladies? He’s fluent in French.
So why has he been the consummate bachelor?
“I was 100 percent devoted to education and studies and family,” he says, “and I’ve always been a little shy as well.”
Jaumouille was born in West Palm Beach, Fla. He has since lived in France and Belgium; studied humanities at the Open University of the United Kingdom in London, and earned his Bachelor of Science in history with a minor in political science from Colorado State University in 2010.
“I was busy in college with my studies, and moving so much made it really hard to meet someone,” he says.
So why now?
“No one wants to be alone in life, and no one wants to be lonely,” Jaumouille says.
He moved from Colorado to Kansas City on Sept. 1 and is looking for a job in history or art, preferably at a museum. He says this move is his last.
“I want to settle down in Kansas City and make this a final place, a final home,” he says. “Hopefully I’ll find someone who’ll share the same values and interests.”
Jaumouille is drug-free; a value that’s non-negotiable for any future mate.
He also doesn’t drink or smoke but says, “I can be flexible on that one.”
He says he’s searching for “someone who takes a relationship seriously … not someone who’ll break it off in a text message.” Someone who values love, commitment, stability and family.
Conversation is “the most important thing for me,” he adds. Even though he’s only ever had two real dates, an ideal first date for him is “something quiet and intimate.”
“When I say intimate I mean intimate by the setting,” he says. “We can see whether we share common interests. Nothing complicated.”
Jaumouille loves reading, politics, world affairs, 1960s music, “Star Trek,” NFL football and soccer. One of his top interests is U.S. presidents; he has written extensively about them and reads about them, too, but don’t worry: He won’t bring it up unless you ask.
