As Whitney Houston’s daughter fights for her life in an Atlanta hospital, authorities are investigating whether foul play was involved in her case, TMZ reported on Friday.
The target of their investigation is reportedly Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown, who TMZ reports had a history of violence with the daughter of Houston and singer Bobby Brown.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Bobbi Kristina had injuries that warranted investigation. They’re reportedly looking into an altercation that could have taken place more than an hour before friend Max Lomas found Bobbi Kristina submerged in a bathtub in her home.
He went looking for her in the house when a cable repairman arrived.
“It seems like it might've been 10 or 15 minutes that she must have been alone ... but we don't know at what point she actually ended up in the tub during that time," Lomas’ lawyer Ashleigh Merchant told E! News.
Sources told TMZ that Lomas claims Gordon cleaned up and removed blood stains in the house before police arrived. Both men have reportedly been interviewed by law enforcement officials.
Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant told WSBTV in Atlanta that police are “going to follow the evidence and see where it leads us.”
Sources told the TV station that two search warrants have been issued in the case: one for Bobbi Kristina's home and another for computers, phones, iPads, routers and other electronics.
Meanwhile, Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney and Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, arrived at Emory University Hospital on Friday.
Houston’s arrival reignited speculation that Bobbi Kristina’s family is preparing to take her off life support; she remains in a medically induced coma.
