It seems that being front row at a Beyonce concert isn’t good enough anymore — not when there’s Pokemon to be caught.
A concertgoer at the pop star’s Stade de France concert on July 21 was appalled when he saw another audience member next to the stage playing Pokemon Go with Beyonce just feet away. So, as one does in today’s day and age, he videotaped her.
“She’s playing Pokemon, and Beyonce’s singing,” he narrated incredulously. “Look at where she is. Look at where she is. She’s next to the stage...and playing Pokemon.”

The video goes on to show the singer walk along the stage and give high fives to audience members. Understandably, the concertgoer turns his camera on Beyonce, so we can only hope the Pokemon player soon abandoned her game.
But it doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident. Twitter account Shady Music Facts posted a video of singer Rihanna addressing phone use at one of her recent concerts, specifically calling out the augmented reality app.
“I don’t want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends,” she said. “I don’t want to see you catching any Pokemons up in this b----.”
Lesson learned: When you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on concert tickets, it’s best to let the Pokemon roam free for another day.
