Fox 10 weather dude Cory McCloskey in Phoenix could have had a meltdown this week when his weather map malfunctioned on live TV.

But McCloskey kept his cool when he noticed that some of the temperatures seemed rather, uh, hellish, even for Arizona.

It was 1,350 degrees Fahrenheit in Surprise.

Surprise!

And 1,665 degrees in Fountain Hills.

And 2,960 degrees in Cave Creek.

The money quote came when McCloskey saw a temperature of 2,385 degrees in Wickenburg.

“Frankly,” he dead-panned, “Wickenburg is a total loss.”

The video of McCloskey’s fast-on-his-feet presentation has been watched more than 1 million times on YouTube and nearly 6 million times on Facebook.

A star is born?
