Disappointed? “Fifty Shades of Grey” director Sam Taylor-Johnson says she didn’t even consider including one of the book’s most notorious scenes in the movie.

It’s the scene where sadistic stud Christian Grey removes a tampon from his lover, Anastasia Steele, before they have sex.

Fans have been discussing for months whether that should be shown on the big screen. But that was just a lot of wasted energy, because Taylor-Johnson tells Variety that the issue was never up for debate.

“It didn’t make it into the movie,” Taylor-Johnson said. “It was never even discussed.”

Producer Michael De Luca said the movie doesn’t need to show that scene.

“The book needed to put you in Ana’s shoes to be a successful experience,” De Luca told Variety.

“A lot of it was very literal. The movie didn’t need to do that. It’s a completely different medium.”

Stargazing says: Thank you!

“Fifty Shades Of Grey” hits theaters on February 13.
