Does this look like a near miss to you? It certainly did to the videographer who captured the moment that two jets seemed to come too close for comfort on a Barcelona runway on Saturday. His video has now gone viral.
A Boeing 767 had to abort its landing when a taxiing airliner crossed its path on the runway at the Barcelona-El Prat airport.
The UTair Boeing, incoming from Moscow, had to switch gears, so to speak, to pull up and go around the Aerolineas Argentineas Airbus.
Plane enthusiast Miguel Angel, who caught the incident on video, called it “one of the worst experiences I have ever had.”

“By the time Russian pilots sight Argentinas ... on runway while they were on final approach, they did their best making an impressive and close go around,” Angel wrote in his video description.
“After that incidence the plane landed safely on runway 02, and the Argentinas took-off heading Buenos Aires.”
Spain’s airport management firm Aena, which had been trying to downplay the incident, said on Monday that it will open an investigation into what happened.
One Spanish newspaper reported that radar data showed that the Russian plane was about 200 feet above the ground and about 20 seconds from landing.
Angel’s video has been seen nearly 4 million times on YouTube.
