Beyonce’s biggest fan? Here’s a clue. He’s kind of short, and his father grew up in Overland Park.
The actress, who stars in the new HBO series “Vinyl,” talked about her son’s fondness for the pop star in an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Thursday, Wilde’s 32nd birthday.
“All I’m thinking about is Otis’ birthday next month (April 20), which is No. 2, which is a lot more exciting than 32, so ... that is going to be the party to be at,” she said.

“So what will that party be?” DeGeneres asked.
“It’s going to be a Beyonce listening party, appreciation, dance off,” Wilde said as the audience laughed. “His love for Beyonce has really hit a fever pitch. And I approve, of course. But it’s intense.”
“But wait,” DeGeneres said. “How did he first start appreciating Beyonce?”
“You know how a lot of moms have on their iPads, like, a kid’s show, an appropriate-for-kids program like an Elmo and such?” Wilde said. “I didn’t, and we were on an airplane and I needed, as many of you know, a distraction tool immediately. And all I had was all of Beyonce’s videos from her last album. And so I just put those on for him, and he was really taken, and he really zoned in on one in particular. That’s the one ‘Yonce,’ which is arguably the most sexually explicit video ever made, and he was like, ‘Oh, yeah, yeah!’”
Otis has even developed a nickname for the singer.
“From that point on, he called her ‘Beyonce Boobies,’ which I think is great. Because most people, if you’re gonna call her (something), you’d call her, like, ‘Beyoncé booty’… but he right now is still here, he’s still thinking in this zone,” Wilde said, moving her arms down her torso. “And he is absolutely in love with her.
“Has he met her yet?” Degeneres asked?
“No,” Wilde said. But he has seen her in person.
“Jason was at a Clippers game recently and had Otis there and Beyonce walked in and was sitting like, very far away on the other side of the Staples Center, courtside. And Jason said, ‘Otis, do you see who that is?’ And he sat up and he’s like … (in a whispered but astonished tone) Beyoncé! ... Beyoncé! And he stood on Jason’s knees and just started going, ‘BE-YONCE!!” And all these people were like, ‘What is this 2-year-old doing?’ And, you know, maybe one day she’ll hear him. … It was like wa-ay too far to yell someone’s name.”
“That’s adorable,” Degeneres said.
“He’s got great taste.”
Later DeGeneres surprised Wilde with an over-the-top collection of Beyonce birthday party swag, including cups, plates and a life-sized photo cut-out of the singer for selfies.
