It is surely Stan Lee’s most adult cameo yet, putting the bold “R” in racy.

As comics’ best-known global ambassador, the Marvel mastermind has famously made cameos in dozens of films, most often when a Marvel character has swung into action. But his latest, in 20th Century Fox’s smash hit “Deadpool,” is arguably his most eyebrow-raising: The legendary nonagenarian spins the discs as a strip club DJ who sets up a “chastity” joke.

So how does Stan’s new cameo stack up?

“It’s certainly up there with the best,” Lee tells The Washington Post’s Comic Riffs. “I actually had some words to say — and the gals were easy to take!”

At 93, Stan still makes convention appearances, but he announced that September’s Fan Expo Canada will be his final public appearance north of the U.S. border.
