Ever the diva, singer Mariah Carey is engaged for the third time.

And her latest engagement ring is easily three times the size of her other two combined.

Not that we’re comparing. But see for yourself:

Carey and Australian billionaire James Packer got engaged in New York this week, reps for Carey confirmed.

Packer popped the questions with a 35-carat diamond and platinum engagement ring designed by jewelry designer Wilfredo Rosado.

“It was about mixing simplicity with volume, which is very difficult to do,” Rosado said.

Because nothing says simple like a ring that costs an estimated $7 million.

And it looks like Carey had no problem showing off her giant rock.

Carey’s second engagement ring, from ex Nick Cannon, was reportedly worth $2.5 million.

So, chump change compared to what Carey’s new beau spent.

This will be the third marriage for both Carey and Packer, who earned his fortune through the media and casino business.

We hope this third marriage is more than a gamble.
