Don’t call it a comeback.
Comedian and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Tracy Morgan appeared on the “Tonight” show Monday, where he joked about everything from David Letterman to Donald Trump and “Star Wars.”
It was the first time Morgan has appeared on the “Tonight” show since he was severely injured in a car crash in June 2014. The collision put Morgan in a coma for two weeks.
“I want to congratulate you, I heard that you’re beating David Letterman in the ratings,” Morgan joked. “He’s not here no more? I liked that dude!

“I’m going back in the coma,” Morgan joked.
When Fallon asked Morgan how things had changed, he mentioned everyone’s favorite topic.
“Things are different,” Morgan said. “Donald Trump is leading in the polls. I’m going back.”
Joking aside, Morgan shared a touching story about watching his 14-month-old daughter take her first steps, which inspired him to get out of his wheelchair.
Morgan also revealed, among other things, that he has a pet octopus.
And the name of the octopus?
“Octopus,” Morgan told Fallon. “I got hit by a truck, I ain’t stupid.”
Morgan will perform this Sunday at VooDoo at 7 and 9:30 p.m.

Morgan also played a game of “Pup Quiz” with Fallon, where both comedians answered trivia questions about animals. The prize? Cuddles with puppies.
