Play-Doh uh oh: Hasbro in trouble for phallic toy

Parents are not so happy about an item that came with Hasbro’s Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset.

The item, an “extruder tool” to help decorate Play-Doh cakes, looks less like an icing dispenser and more like, well, a male body part.

And parents were the first to notice. Posts about the object started in November, but gained more traction over the holidays.

Hasbro spokeswoman Julie Duffy told The Huffington Post that Hasbro has “heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool” and is “in the process of updating future Play-Doh products with a different tool.”

On the Play-Doh Facebook page, the company referred any complaints to their customer service department: Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro’s Customer Service Department at 800-327-8264.

“We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool,” the post said.

Let’s hope the new design is a little less naughty and a little more nice.
