Famous folks delivered Christmas greetings on social media today from places as exotic as space and as comfy as their living rooms.

Chris Rock tweeted from one of New York City’s boroughs - the one with big mountains.

Cher showed off her proficiency with holiday emojis.

Paul McCartney wished his fans “Merry Christmas” on Twitter by posting a link to his new “Say Say Say” video.

Of course Mariah Carey had to wear something slinky and red in her greeting.

Dolly Parton was a little more covered up.

Big Slick supporter, comedian David Koechner, posted a video showing the “merry chaos” of his family’s celebration.

His partner in Big Slick philanthropy, Rob Riggle, posted a special Christmas Eve greeting to fellow military veterans.

The Royals seemed especially grateful for their World Series hardware. A few players posted greetings, too.

ABC newswoman Robin Roberts offered wise advise in her greeting.

Comedian Sarah Silverman posted a true-to-form Sarah Silverman greeting.

But astronaut Scott Kelly, traveling on the International Space Station, topped everyone with his post. Who else can wish “Merry Christmas” from space?
