Kansas City native and “House of Cards” actor Nathan Darrow has been cast as Victor Fries, aka Mr. Freeze, on Fox’s “Gotham.”

Darrow, a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School, will play the recurring role on the second season of “Gotham,” titled “Rise of the Villains.”

In the series, Darrow’s character is described as “ferociously smart” but incapable of making meaningful connections with other people. When Nora, the wife of Mr. Freeze, becomes ill, the villain stops at nothing to figure out a way to save her, even if that means cryogenically freezing her.

We’re sure Darrow will have no trouble playing the villain after spending time with Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) as his bodyguard, Meechum.

According to deadline.com, Darrow can also be seen in the upcoming HBO Films movie “Wizard of Lies” alongside Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer. He will also play a recurring role in Showtime’s Wall Street drama “Billions,” starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis.
