A talent producer for NBC’s “The Voice” mistakenly invited singer-songwriter Jason Isbell – the current Americana Music Association’s Artist of the Year – to audition for the singing competition.

The former Drive-By Truckers singer shared the email invite with his Twitter followers.

“I came across Jason Isbell online and was hoping to chat with him about auditioning for us if it’s something that interests him?” the email said.

Isbell was just a big winner in September at the Americana Awards in Nashville, where he swept the biggest honors of the night, winning artist, album and song of the year.

Isbell laughed off “The Voice” slight. He jokingly tweeted that he had accepted the invitation, writing: “My audition on 'The Voice' will be a solo vocal and French horn rendition of 'Oh Comely' by Neutral Milk Hotel. I will wear a #bikini.”

Wonder if Iggy Azalea and Kanye West were asked to audition, too.
