While the past two episodes of “Bachelor in Paradise” were duds, next week’s final two episodes look to be “Bachelor” gold.
And there might be drama brewing for Kansas City’s Tanner Tolbert and his lady Jade Roper of Los Angeles.
The preview said the finale includes the “most dramatic breakup in ‘Paradise’ history.” And while the franchise promotes that idea all the time, the preview suggests it might involve Tanner and Jade, fan favorites.
The highlights: Jade crying multiple times, ominous shots of Tanner, Tanner telling Jade that he can’t give her a rose and Jade calling a male contestant a “coward.”
It’s also revealed that eight out of about 20 contestants will be eliminated. And there’s a shot of an engagement ring, though no signs indicating who is getting engaged.
Will Tanner be the one to put a ring on Jade’s finger? Will the two break up? Is this just creative editing by ABC? No matter what happens, fans on Twitter are deeply committed to the couple’s relationship.
The two had remained in the background on “Bachelor in Paradise,” stepping up only to provide commentary about other contestants’ dramas. In last week’s episode, the couple officially solidified their relationship status as boyfriend and girlfriend. All that happened this week was Jade gave Tanner a rose.
The show, filmed in Mexico, features former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” contestants who are looking for a second chance at love. It airs at 7 p.m. Sundays and Mondays on ABC.
