Kansas City’s Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper are going steady, y’all.
The two had remained in the background on “Bachelor in Paradise,” stepping up only to provide commentary about other contestants’ dramas. But on Sunday’s show, these fan favorites scored a date with a fantasy suite and officially solidified their relationship status as boyfriend and girlfriend.
The couple took a trip to Tequila, Mexico, on a private jet (reality TV does have its perks) and stayed at the tequila equivalent of a winery. Tanner’s goal was to tell Jade that he’s falling in love with her.

“That’s why the end of paradise is so scary because I don’t want to spend a day without her,” Tanner said.
Tanner revealed to Jade that he’s scared he’s going to leave the show with a broken heart. In probably one of the more real moments in “Bachelor” franchise history, Jade, who’s from Los Angeles, and Tanner had a serious conversation about their feelings and how they’re both scared of falling in love with each other.
“I’m all in on you Jade,” he said. “I’m falling for you. It’s scary but I like the feeling.”
Tanner then asked her to be his girlfriend both on the show and after, melting fans’ hearts across the country. The two spent the night in the fantasy suite, and we all know what that means.
“I think, I don’t know, that he was meant to be here for me,” Jade said.
To take a line from Tanner: Our goosebumps have goosebumps.
The show, filmed in Mexico, features former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” contestants who are looking for a second chance at love. It airs at 7 p.m. Sundays and Mondays on ABC.
