“I can’t tell you how happy I am,” Murray told People magazine after the show. “I don’t have to learn any more dances.”
Next week the three remaining celebrities — actorGilles Marini, "Bachelor star" Melissa Rycroft and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson
— compete in the season eight finals.
Murray made it through ten weeks of the popular dance competition. He was proud to have taken the bullet, so to speak, of rhinestones and spray tans just to represent for the "cowboy nation."
“The whole reason I did this show is because it was nice for cowboys to be represented in something so pop culture, and this show did in spades,” Murray said. “For me to be able to do this is a fantastic opportunity. You don’t realize how big something like this is until you’re on a show that 25 million people watch.”
Next up for Murray? Possibly children, according to wifeJewel
's recent comments to Us Weekly magazine.
"We would love to start a family," said Jewell, who married Murray last summer. "As soon as he's not so tired at night from all of this dancing, we'll start working on it!"
