"It's late, and I'm paying my babysitter overtime, and I have to pee," a harried Roberts announced at Monday's 36th annual Film Society of Lincoln Center Gala Tribute, where the double Oscar winner received the new Chaplin Award.
Trying to keep her remarks brief, Roberts told Hanks, "So, everybody f---ing likes you."
She went on to offer her own review of Hanks' 2004 movie "The Terminal" in which he played an Eastern European trapped in immigration at J.F.K.
"That movie about you and the airport and the accent was a pass for me," Roberts joked. "Airport? Were you just an immigrant lost? I didn't know. I love you, but I didn’t know … and I'm wearing the same f---ing dress tonight as your publicist."
When Hanks got to the podium at the black-tie affair, he underscored the obvious: Julia Robers has "the biggest potty mouth you have ever heard."
