If you want to set the Royals’ historic playoff run to a music video, two Kansas City groups already have it covered.
On Oct. 13, Bernstein-Rein Advertising Inc. posted “Party Like It’s 1985 Royals Remix Video” to its YouTube channel. The song’s lyrics include: “The sky was royal blue, runners racing everywhere/Aoki is catching baseballs; Gordon’s glove in the air/They say the last time we were winning these players they weren’t alive/So tonight we’re going to party like it’s 1985.”
The remixed song is set to video clips from this month’s games and from 1985. The 2-minute-50-second video already has more than 28,000 views.

On Oct. 16, the day after the Royals won the American League pennant, KC band Beautiful Bodies posted “Invincible” to its YouTube channel. The chorus of the 52-second rock anthem is “We are invincible” and it has nearly 2,500 views.
Beautiful Bodies ends the video with the words: “local, loyal, royal.” On its Facebook page, the band writes: “We are so proud to be from KC! Please share this video of the Kansas City Royals being ‘Invincible.’”
Bodies won the 2013 Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands competition in Los Angeles, and among the prizes was the chance to play more than a dozen shows on the 2013 Warped Tour. The band also signed with Epitaph Records, a major independent label in Hollywood, Calif., earlier this year.
