We’re getting more ‘Sex’!

It’s official. The “Sex and the City” sequel has a release date of May 28, 2010, two years from the weekend that the first “Sex” movie debuted, eventually earning $415 million worldwide.

The date will pit “Sex” against adventure. The movie debuts the same Memorial Day weekend as the

Jake Gyllenhaal

blockbuster, “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.”

Sarah Jessica Parker

Kim Cattrall

Cynthia Nixon

(Miranda) and

Kristin Davis

(Charlotte) will all be back, as will writer-director

Michael Patrick King.

Too early to tell how far into the future the sequel will take us.

When last we saw them, Carrie had just married Mr. Big, Charlotte and Harry had just had a baby girl, Miranda and Steve had reunited after Steve’s affair and Samantha was giving Smith the big kiss-off.

Chris Noth

— Mr. Big — hinted to Us Weekly that producers are “probably thinking” about babies for him and Carrie.

We hope they bring back

Gilles Marini

’s character, now that we all know from watching him on “Dancing with the Stars” that he looks just as fab fully clothed as he does naked.
