Hallmark has become a regular at Comic-Con in recent years. At this year’s show in San Diego, the Kansas City company gave fans a sneak peek at the 2016 Star Trek Keepsake ornaments.
StarTrek.com reports that convention-goers got to see early renderings and work-in-progress models of the ornaments that will honor the 50th anniversary of the popular TV series next year.
An ornament shaped like the iconic U.S.S. Enterprise, painted gold for the special anniversary, is based on the production model built for filming the two pilots for the series, the website reports.

TrekToday.com said that fans of the show’s “Man Trap” episode from September 1966 will want the ornament depicting an M-113 salt vampire creature attacking Captain Kirk.
A limited number of ornaments inspired by Ensign Pavel Chekov will also be released.
An elaborate, table-top display will depict Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. “Bones” McCoy standing on the bridge of the Enterprise and will play dialogue from the show.
