Professional photographer Chase Richardson fell down while taking bridal party pics at a wedding last year. But he’s managed to turn the fail into fame.
Here’s why: He snapped a photo on his way down to the ground and the resulting image is nothing if not priceless.
Just ask Jimmy Fallon. He showed the photo on “The Tonight Show.”
The Mississippi-based Richardson explains to The Huffington Post that he was working the wedding of Kristina and Will Moore in June 2014. It had rained all day leaving everything, well, wet.

So he arranged the wedding party under a covered patio and when he was “framing up the photo ... I took a step backwards and slipped in a puddle,” he said.
“It was all kind of a blur, but I hit the ground, broke the lens I was using and cut my finger open. Embarrassing! I shot the rest of the wedding with a very noisy, broken lens and a bleeding finger.”
Something tells us he might want to avoid Kristina and Will in the future because that was actually the second accident he had while working with them.
“Kristina & Will will always have a special place in my mind when I think about the couples I’ve shot for. And that’s mainly because I’ve almost died both times I’ve shot for them. Okay, maybe not died,” Richardson writes on his blog.
“During their engagement session I was leisurely walking to set up a shot next to a lake when, out of nowhere, the earth gave way and my leg went down into a hole that was about knee-deep. I dusted myself off and finished the rest of the shoot soaking wet.”
Richardson recently tweeted a copy of his #weddingfail pic to Jimmy Fallon last month and watched it recently make the “viral” rounds via Reddit and Buzzfeed.
Next time he meets Kristina and Will, he blogged, “I’ll make sure to have a life insurance policy!”
Richardson actually does great work while in an upright position. Check out his tweet below.
