Bye-bye, General Lee. TV Land has stopped running episodes of “The Dukes of Hazzard” in the midst of new debates over the Confederate flag after the fatal church shootings in Charleston, SC, last month.

In the 1980s series, starring John Schneider and Tom Wopat, the flag decorates the cousins’ iconic 1969 orange Dodge Charger, named the General Lee.

The New York Post reported on Tuesday that a TV Land spokesperson confirmed that the network has stopped running reruns of the show, but would not give a reason for the move.

But clearly, the show had come under fire in recent days. Warner Bros, which owns the show, stopped making toy replicas of the General Lee last week.

Fans of the show on Twitter are angrier than a wet hornet.
