It looks like it might be time for Donald Trump to pass the “Celebrity Apprentice” reins on to his kids, now that he’ll be busy running for president of the United States.
Trump’s announcement on Tuesday touched off speculation about what NBC will do now about “Celebrity Apprentice” and the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, both co-owned by Trump and aired by NBC.
NBC has already renewed “Celebrity Apprentice” for an eighth season, but filming has not yet begun, according to Deadline.
Network insiders told The New York Post before Trump’s Tuesday announcement that he could not continue to host the show if he decided to run.

One option: Have Trump’s children – Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump – host the show.
“NBC will be watching his announcement. Then, if he does run, they will be looking closely at the election law to see if Donald can still be involved as a producer,” an insider told the Post.
