Those darn 17-year-cicadas! They can make it so hard to get any work done, especially if you’re trying to do a TV report outdoors.

In a video that’s making the rounds, KSNT reporter Katya Leick is attacked by a couple of pesky cicadas as she tries to wrap up a report on live-fire drills from Fort Riley, Kan. on Tuesday.

The little buggers buzzed around the Topeka reporter’s head like drones and from her shrieks and flailing with her microphone you can tell that Leick was none too happy about it, especially when one almost flies into her mouth.

“Every time I tried to start talking, they’d come. I was like, ‘I need to hold it together, come on, I just have to get this done with,’” she told ABC News.

We give her big props for hanging in there — double props because she actually climbed on top a tank for her report.

Such a good sport, Katya.
