French actor Gerard Depardieu owns his own winery, so it’s natural for him to indulge in some vino — often.

But often is an understatement for the “My Father the Hero” actor, who told French magazine So Film that he can drink about 14 bottles of wine. A day.

“I can’t drink like a normal person,” Depardieu told the magazine. “I can absorb 12, 13, 14 bottles ... per day. But I’m never totally drunk, just a little pissed. All you need is a 10 minute nap and voilà, a slurp of rosé wine and I feel as fresh as a daisy!”

Depardieu‘s drinking habits are no secret — he made headlines in 2011 when he drunkenly peed on the floor of an airplane.

And despite undergoing bypass surgery, the actor doesn’t seem worried about his health.

“I have to be careful, [but] I’m not going to die,” he said. “Not now. I still have energy.”

A word to Depardieu: You may have energy now, but not so fast. Fourteen bottles of wine a day does not keep the doctor away.

And don’t forget that alcohol poisoning can quickly turn those intoxicating bottles into grapes of wrath.
