A man came out of a crowd and threw a white powdery substance on Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine outside the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studio on Wednesday.

Just Jared posted photos of the mayhem on its website and on Twitter. See them here.

Ironically, the singer talked to Kimmel on the show about an incident last month when a woman rushed him on stage during a concert. The incident left Levine with a cut on his ear.

According to Gossip Cop, Levine was signing autographs for fans when a guy in the crowd allegedly threw a package of flour or possibly powdered sugar at him. It’s not clear if he was on his way in or out of the studio.

“Immediately after the incident occurred, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ security followed protocol and alerted LAPD who responded quickly and are looking into the situation,” a rep for Kimmel’s show told Gossip Cop.

TMZ reported that the attacker was arrested for battery.

Reports TMZ of Levine: “He did NOT look happy.”
