This much has happened: On Monday, TMZ Sports released a surveillance video from February of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice knocking his then-fiance, Janay Palmer, unconscious in an elevator.
Rice was let go by the Ravens the same day and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.
On Tuesday, Janay Rice (the couple have since married) releases a statement on Instagram, saying she feels like she’s “mourning the death of my closest friend.” The video’s release has caused her to “relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday.”
