In an interview with The Daily Beast published on Monday, actress Roseanne Barr revealed that she is going blind and is using marijuana for relief.
“My vision is closing in now,” Barr said. “That one’s harsh, ’cause I read a lot, and then I thought, ‘Well, I guess I could hire somebody to read for me and read to me.’ But I like words and I like looking. You do what you have to do.”
“I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible,” she added, “y’know, living it up.”
Barr is the subject of “Roseanne For President!,” a documentary by Eric Weinrib about her unsuccessful attempt to become the Green Party’s presidential nominee in 2012. (She eventually ran on the Peace and Freedom ticket in a few states.)

Barr, 63, revealed that she has macular degeneration and glaucoma and that pot is “good for me for that because I have pressure in my eyes. It’s a good medicine for a lot of things.”
She said doctors can’t tell her when she’ll lose all of her sight.
