England’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second baby any day now and odds are that a lot of people – gamblers in particular – will be disappointed if it’s another boy.

British newspapers estimate that if Kate gives birth to a girl who is named Alice, the country’s betting firms will have to pay out as much as $750,000.

Alice is now the 6/4 favorite in the name-guessing game, outpacing Elizabeth and Charlotte, both at 6/1.

“We’re bracing ourselves for an almighty payout, but living in hope that history repeats itself and there's a little boy on the way," Jessica Bridge, a spokeswoman for Ladbrokes, a London betting and gaming company, told CNN.

According to betting firm William Hill, the most popular date of delivery is Tuesday, April 21, which is Queen Elizabeth II’s 89th birthday.

The most popular names for another baby prince are James, Arthur and Alexander, according to People magazine.
