The Weinstein Company plans to turn Truman Capote’s 1966 novel “In Cold Blood,” about the 1959 Clutter family murders in Kansas, into a TV series, according to Deadline.

The novel has given birth to several adaptations – a movie by the same name, two recent films about Capote’s work on it and a 1996 TV miniseries. But it has never been a TV series.

The Weinstein project would have Gary Oldman and Douglas Urbanski’s Flying Studios produce the project and Kevin Hood (“Becoming Jane”) writing.
