B.B. King told his fans on Tuesday that he was going home after being hospitalized over the weekend.

The 89-year-old blues legend, who has Type II diabetes, was reportedly hospitalized because of dehydration resulting from the disease.

“I want to thank everyone for their concern and good wishes. I'm feeling much better & am leaving the hospital today,” he said in a statement posted to his official website on Tuesday.

King was diagnosed with diabetes more than two decades ago. As recently as October he was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion after he got sick during a show. He ended up canceling the rest of his concert tour.
