“Mad Men” star Jon Hamm recently completed 30 days in treatment for alcohol abuse, his representative said in a statement on Tuesday.

Entertainment outlets including People magazine and TMZ, and the Associated Press, reported the news.

“With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward,” the actor’s rep said.

TMZ reports that Hamm checked himself into the high-end Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Conn.

Hamm and his fellow “Mad Men” cast members have been busy in recent days promoting the AMC drama’s final season, which debuts April 5. Production on the final shows wrapped up last summer.
