Melissa Meeks hadn’t seen the paparazzi photo of her husband, “hot felon” Jeremy Meeks, making out with heiress Chloe Green on a yacht in Turkey until a stranger sent it to her.
“The first I learned of it was when I woke up and checked my phone. Some random person I don’t know sent a direct message with the photograph of my husband kissing that woman,” she told The Daily Mail in an exclusive interview published over the weekend.
“I went into shock. I felt nauseated. It was like a bomb had gone off and my whole world had been blown apart. I’d never heard of Chloe Green. I thought Jeremy was working.”
He was working at something.
Her husband is the viral “hot mugshot guy” who pawned his good looks into a high-fashion modeling career after he got out of prison on felony gun charges.
On the weekend before the Fourth of July, The Daily Mail published photos of Meeks on a yacht off the Turkish coast kissing so-called fashion “expert” Chloe Green, the 26-year-old heiress to the British retail empire Topshop.
The fireworks really started when Meeks got home to Manteca, Calif.
“He kept apologizing — not for the affair, but for the way I learned about it,” Melissa told The Daily Mail. “I feel humiliated, not just because my husband was caught with another woman but for the fact they were so brazen about it. He told me, ‘I didn’t mean it to happen like this.’ Those pictures will haunt me forever.
“He kept saying, ‘I’m sorry, you didn’t deserve this.’ We talked about divorce. I told him I didn’t think the marriage could be saved. He agreed. The marriage is over.”
On her Instagram Melissa still describes herself as an RN, wife to Jeremy Meeks and “blessed beyond belief.”
She and Meeks have a 7-year-old son together. She has two other children, 11 and 16, who consider him a father figure.
At this point she’s got the bulk of public sympathy on her side. People on social media have slammed her two-timin’ husband with comments like this: “And the award for the biggest scumbag of the earth goes to Jeremy.”
Melissa told The Daily Mail she tried to call her husband to explain the photos but he later told her his phone wasn’t working.
Which raises the question: Then how was he able to post photos and videos like this from the yacht?
Meeks has since deleted public comments on the posts made from his excursion.
Melissa didn’t hide her scorn for the “other woman” when she spoke to The Daily Mail.
“I know it takes two to tango but she knew he was married,” she said of Green, well-known for living the high life.
“To me, that’s unforgivable. My whole world has been torn apart by this. What do I tell our children? My heart is broken. What sort of woman would do something like this to another woman? My marriage wasn’t perfect but I thought it could be saved, until this happened.
“Of course I’m angry at her. What she did is unforgivable. And I’m angry at him too. What they did destroyed my entire world. Did either of them think about the children and how this will affect them? They’re the innocent victims in this. And so am I.”
