The Week That Was: Oscars blunder, Oprah for president and other fun stuff

Hey, kids. It was yet another great week in the world of pop culture. Here are just some of our favorite moments.

SUNDAY: Hmmmm. Just when we thought the Oscars were running smoother than ever — bam! A best picture mix-up. Congrats to a deserving “Moonlight,” and kudos to “La La Land” producers for their grace in the absolute weirdest of situations.

MONDAY: Huzzah! Jon Stewart shows up again on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” We’re starting to like this idea of the former “Daily Show” host being Colbert’s own Larry “Bud” Melman. (Google it, kiddos.)

TUESDAY: Horrors! “Biggest Loser” trainer Bob Harper Instagrams he had a heart attack and collapsed during a workout in February. He says, “I am feeling better,” and, no, you should not use this as an excuse to spend more time on the sofa looking at your phone.

WEDNESDAY: Hmmm. Oprah for president? She seems to be considering it in a clip released by Bloomberg TV, where she says, “I thought, ‘I don’t have the experience, I don’t know enough,’ Now I’m thinking, ‘Oh, oh.’ ” The next day, however, her BFF, Gayle King, says, “Nevah, n-e-v-a-h. Nevah.”

THURSDAY: Huzzah! “Logan,” like last week’s “Get Out,” is that rare movie we feel compelled to see before the weekend. We give it four “Snikts!”

FRIDAY: Hmmm. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he’s done with “The Apprentice” because of President Donald Trump. “I loved every second of working with NBC and (series creator) Mark Burnett. I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage.”
