Remember that “unretouched” photo of model Cindy Crawford in lingerie? The one that sparked numerous conversations and received praise from women around the web?

Apparently it’s doctored. Sigh.

According to TMZ, a lawyer for Crawford’s photographer claims the original photo was stolen and doctored to make Crawford’s midsection look worse. The lawyer also threatened to sue publishers of the doctored photos.

The picture allegedly came from a 2013 shoot for Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America. The photo, which was said to show Crawford without the benefit of Photoshop, was never altered in the magazine.

Addressing the photo, Marie Claire posted that the leaked photo reveals “a body that defies expectations – it is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous.

“No matter where the photo came from, it's an enlightenment — we've always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more.”

Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber posted this photo on Valentine’s Day of his bikini-clad wife, which looks noticeably different from the “unretouched“ one that went viral.

She got flowers and I got her. Happy Valentines Day @cindycrawford
