Nick Rhodes, founding member and keyboardist for New Romantic superstars Duran Duran, is taking a temporary break from the band’s current headlining tour. They are scheduled to appear at Starlight Theatre on July 24.
“Regrettably, keyboardist Nick Rhodes will be leaving the current Duran Duran tour tomorrow for a short period of time, to return to the UK to attend to an urgent family matter,” said a post on the band’s website.
“Dearest Nick, we seem to be in trying times. I hope everything works out for the best. I love you and the guys,” wrote Nile Rodgers of the band Chic on his Facebook page.
Chic is supporting Duran Duran on the “Paper Gods” tour, and Rodgers has collaborated with the band since the 1980s.
