Country star Luke Bryan has announced his summer Kill the Lights Tour, and it will stop at the Providence Medical Center Amphitheater in Bonner Springs on Aug. 25, a Thursday. Little Big Town and Frankie Ballard are also on the bill. Tickets go on sale at LiveNation.com at 10 a.m. May 6, a Friday.
Bryan is touring on “Kill the Lights,” his fifth studio album, released in August. It is approaching 1 million in sales and has produced three No. 1 singles on the country charts.
Bryan has been a frequent visitor to Kansas City. His previous headlining performance was in June, also in Bonner Springs. In September 2013, he headlined the first night of the two-day Flatlands Country Music Festival at Sporting Park.
In March 2012 Bryan opened for Jason Aldean at the Sprint Center. Later that summer, he opened for Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney at Arrowhead Stadium. One of his first local performances was in July 2008, when he played a free show at the Kansas City Live stage in the Power & Light District.
