Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour is coming to Kansas City

Hip-hop star Drake is launching a North American tour this summer, and it will stop at the Sprint Center on July 23, a Saturday. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29.

The Summer Sixteen Tour will also include performances by the rapper Future and “other special guests,” according to a press release from Live Nation Entertainment.

Drake will be touring on ‘Views From The 6,” his fourth studio album, which will be released Friday. All three previous Drake albums have gone platinum and reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in the U.S.

This will be Drake’s first Kansas City appearance since March 2012, when he performed before a crowed of more than 15,000 at the Sprint Center. Kendrick Lamar opened that show.
