Bob Dylan announces new album and summer tour, which stops in KC

Bob Dylan on Monday announced the upcoming release of his 37th studio album, “Fallen Angels,” and a summer tour, which will visit Starlight Theater on June 21, a Tuesday. Mavis Staples will open.

Everyone who buys a ticket to the Starlight show will receive a redemption code to receive a CD copy of “Fallen Angels.” The album’s release date has not yet been announced. Tickets will go on sale on March 18, according to Dylan’s web site. The tour also stops in Lincoln, Neb., on June 22.

Dylan’s previous Kansas City performance was at the Music Hall in May 2015. Here is a review of that show, with a set list.
