Paul Simon — the multi-Grammy winner and one half of Simon and Garfunkel — will be at Starlight Theatre on June 11. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m.
His last visit to Kansas City was in 2011, to a sold-out crowd at the Midland.
Reviewer Timothy Finn noted: “Simon turned 70 last month, but his voice is still what it has always been: light, agile and serviceable to the kinds of songs he writes. A few times it sounded stretched to its limits, but otherwise he sounded in fit form (and, as I recall, maybe even better than he did his last time through Kansas City 10 years ago).”

Simon’s first visit to Kansas City was in 1991, when he played to a crowd of about 12,000 at Sandstone Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs.
“I don’t believe I ever played in Kansas City,” he told the adoring crowd. “I’m happy to be here, man.”
