Bob Seger is coming to the Sprint Center on Friday, March 20, a show that was announced in mid-December.
On Thursday, the tour announced that tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17. Bob Seger Fan Club pre-sale starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Seger, 69, started his tour in November in support of his latest album, “Ride Out,” released in October. His show, which lasts nearly two hours, includes tracks from “Ride Out,” favorites like “Roll Me Away,” “Main Street,” “The Fire Down Below,” “Travelin’ Man” and “Beautiful Loser” plus covers of songs by John Hiatt, Otis Clay, Steve Earle and Wilco.
Of his show at Madison Square Garden in December, Jon Pareles of the New York Times wrote, “His voice on Friday was as strong as ever, a soul baritone with a rasp telegraphing enthusiasm and ache. The Silver Bullet Band was muscular and steadfast.
“(His) music is still the ringing heartland rock he helped establish in the 1970s: rooted in 1960s soul and folk-rock, paced to sink in. Grizzled yet smiling and robust, with his stalwart voice and vigorous band, (Seger) and his songs promised that it’s possible to look back, with and without regrets, yet still live fully in the present.”
