Country music singer Sara Evans, a native of Boonville, Mo., will sing the national anthem Wednesday night before Game 2 of the World Series at Kauffman Stadium.

Evans, 44, has released seven studio albums and a holiday album since 1997, all on RCA Nashville. Five of those albums cracked Billboard’s Top 10 country chart; two of them, “Real Fine Place” and “Stronger,” reached No. 1. She has nine Top 10 country singles; five of them reached No. 1.

Her latest album, “Slow Me Down,” includes collaborations with Vince Gill, Gavin DeGraw and Isaac Slade of the Fray.

“God Bless America” will be performed by Michelle Doolittle of the U.S. Air Force during the seventh-inning stretch.
