Under doctor’s orders, Janet Jackson has postponed Tuesday night’s show at the Sprint Center and Thursday’s show in St. Louis so she can give her voice a rest.
At 6 p.m. Sunday, Jackson tweeted and posted on her Facebook page: “Must postpone Kansas City & St. Louis ... Doctors orders, Hold onto your tickets! I’ll be back in Omaha.”
She is still scheduled to perform Friday at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb.

Jackson postponed two other shows over the weekend: in Salt Lake City on Saturday and in Denver on Sunday. “”Hey you guys, I must rest my vocal chords. Doctor’s orders,” she tweeted Friday night. “Will be rescheduling Salt Lake and Denver. Keep your tickets! Back to Burn Up Kansas City.”
Jackson opened her “Unbreakable” tour Aug. 31 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Saturday’s postponed show in Salt Lake City would have been her 28th show of the tour.
Tickets for Tuesday’s show at the Sprint Center will be honored at the rescheduled show. A new date will be announced presently. Tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.
