A 7-year-old Overland Park boy went from dancing in his living room to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” to actually dancing with Taylor Swift.
A viral Facebook video showing Dylan Barnes grooving to Swift’s hit song caught the eye of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who invited Dylan to be her guest on Sept. 19.
On the show, Dylan tells DeGeneres he’s been dancing since he was 5 and that he doesn’t have a choreographed routine to “Shake It Off,” preferring just to make it up.
He likes to dance in the living room, “unless my brothers are watching the Royals game.” DeGeneres then recreated Dylan’s living room and asked him to dance, which he did with plenty of verve that included a few pirouettes.

DeGeneres gave Dylan tickets to Swift’s Monday Kansas City show and said it would include backstage passes.
And the visit was complete when the mega pop star held an impromptu dance party with Dylan.
Swift posted a video to her Instagram: “Finally got to meet Dylan, the 7-year-old who passionately danced to Shake It Off on Ellen--- and this happened.”
That just wins.
The original video, posted under the name Red Headed Persian Entertainer, has more than 6.4 million views on Facebook.
