Beautiful Bodies, a pop-rock band from Kansas City, this week released the first single from its upcoming Epitaph Records album.

The song “Capture & Release” will be one of 12 tracks on “Battles,” the band’s full-length debut on Epitaph, due to be released on June 16. The album can be pre-ordered at iTunes. On June 19, Beautiful Bodies will perform in Pamona, Calif., the first of 41 stops on this year’s Warped Tour, which stops at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Bonner Springs on July 30.

The band recorded “Battles” with producer John Feldmann, guitarist and songwriter for the punk/ska band Goldfinger after signing with Epitaph in May 2014. Feldmann produced the Bodies’ EP “Invincible,” released in 2013.
