Winger bringing its pop metal to Kansas City

Back in the 1990s, Winger, the band, took its lumps on “Beavis and Butthead” and was mocked by Metallica in its “Nothing Else Matters” video. But its fans know that founder Kip Winger is an accomplished musician and the band he founded recorded some of the most durable pop/glam-metal of its era.

On Oct. 11, a Saturday, Winger will perform at the Scene Rock Bar, 14816 U.S. Highway 40, between South Noland and Lees Summit roads. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show. For more information or to buy tickets, go to thescenerockbar.com.
